Tree Hunting

This Christmas will be the first in our new house. As we now live on nine acres of forest we thought it would be fun to go out and cut a Christmas tree from our own woods. Yesterday we bundled up and headed out to do just that.

Growing Up!

While editing some pictures of my daughter today I couldn't help but realize how grown up she looks. She is only ten, but the chubby cheeks of babyhood are long gone, and every once and a while I get a glimpse of the young woman she will become.

Little Miss "M" and her big brother "C"

Are these not two of the cutest kids ever? Miss "M" is a wild little one just full of personality (I guess it goes with the red hair!), and her big brother is just so good with her. When I sat them on the stool together he moved over to make sure that she had "the most space" so she wouldn't fall off. How sweet is that!

Feathered Friends

With all the snow we have the birds in our area have been finding it hard to find food in the forest. As a result they have been flocking to the feeder in our back yard. The kids and I have been having a great time watching them flit back and forth between the trees and the treats we have been leaving them.

Winter Wonderland

Saturday night when we went to bed there was not a flake of snow to be seen. Sunday morning we awoke to a winter wonderland! The snow is covering everything in a thick white blanket and it is magical.

Yesterday I went to visit my brother and sister-in-law and their brand new baby boy!!! Of course I just happened to have my camera handy. Thanks guys for letting me play with your new little man. He is adorable and I think we got some great shots.
